Meet the new co-host of The Myth of Education Podcast!
DAN GROSSENBACH
Podcast Bio: Dan is a cultural reformer promoting a well-reasoned biblical basis for constitutional values in education policy and curricula. He’s sounding the alarm over our nation’s dire moral confusion following generations of relativistic values instruction in our public school system. As a Christian apologist, criminal investigator, college professor, state-certified K-12 educator, husband, and father of school children, Dan plays a key role in America’s moral renaissance.
Q & A
Myth of Education: What do you believe is the purpose of public education?
Dan G: To raise up the next generation in knowledge and truth to advance the moral character of the nation and eliminate the need for private education.
Myth of Education: What do you believe some parents are misunderstanding about their role in K-12 education?
Dan G: Parents often misunderstand that many of their rights are not for them but for their kids. The right to life, to marry, and to parent all exist to protect children. Their rights come before ours do. We sacrifice so they don’t have to. Often this runs contrary to cultural trends.
Myth of Education: Have you ever considered running for school board?
Dan G:Yes, but my life circumstances don’t allow for it at this time. In the meantime, I’m putting all my effort into managing my family and supporting candidates who love God, the Constitution, and our community in that order.
Myth of Education: What issues have you encounerted in public schools?
Dan G: I’ve faced multiple problems all driven by woke ideology. In 2016, Our district refused to notify us of our son’s transitioning 2nd grade classmate. We also experienced a Red for Ed walkout that stole 3% of the year’s classroom instruction, In 2020, the closing of in-person learning followed by ridiculous Covid protocols.
Following the Covid era, we had new battles: genderless bathrooms, forced use of fake pronouns, secret transgendering of kids, political indoctrination, sexualized surveys hidden from parents, shut out of board meetings, partnering with Planned Parenthood, and years of propaganda from the Chinese Communist Party.
Myth of Education: How would you rate the level of safety and district accountability in public schools?
Dan G: This varies by district and also depends on the kind of safety. Lots of districts have made great strides in physical security capital improvements and protocols. However, woke ideology makes kids less safe from sexual exploitation and other high-risk behaviors that could be mitigated by focusing on traditional values and parental involvement.
Myth of Education: What’s your goal for joining The Myth of Education Podcast?
Dan G: Many people in our communities care about our communities but they don’t have the time to track how schools are raising the next generation. My goal is to give people what they need to know to make informed choices in educating their children and choosing future leaders of public education.
