Ep. 31 | Passing the Trash w/Paul Zimmerman

Paul Zimmerman joined our broadcast to give his take on an alarming trend of child sex crimes in U.S. public schools. An estimated 10% of K-12 students will experience sexual misconduct by a school employee by the time they graduate from high school.1 On average, a teacher who sexually abuses children is passed to three school districts and may have as many as 73 victims.2 Teachers’ unions’ demonstrated commitment to shield their members from disciplinary action for gross misconduct cannot trump basic moral and legal responsibilities to students and families.3 School districts are obligated to uphold and comply with federal laws. When staff members prey on innocent children, they should be fired and prosecuted.
